Biography

Regina Ederveen (The Netherlands) is a passionated harpist, who plays with joy and expression musically her golden harp and her celtic harp. Regina has been graduated from the University of Music Utrecht with highest grades. She performs as soloist or with ensemble; classically or in celtic or popular style!


Besides as soloist, she also works with choirs, as accompanist and as soloist.
She performs works by Britten and Rutter with choir, but also less known, but still beautiful compositions for harp and choir.

Regina loves to work with other musicians in chambermusic.
She forms the Van Gogh duo together with word artist Robert la Boresa.
She also does concerts with soprano Clara de Vries for classical music, or Sharon Kips (winner X-factor) for lighter music.
Also combinations with organ, piano and flute are possible, e.g. with flautist Marjolein de Wit.

From Regina several cd’s were released.

Regina Ederveen studied at the University of Utrecht.
She got her degrees for harp teacher and harp soloist.
She followed Masterclasses by Tatyana Tauer, Susan McDonald and Edward Witsenburg.
She attended harpfestivals in Israel and America.
At the Orpheus Concours in Brussels for contemporary avant-garde music, she won First Prize. 
In 2009 she was chosen as the winning harpist to play in an international orchestra in Carnegie Hall New York City.

Regina is challenged to study and extend her harp repertory.
This can come from unknown pieces for choir & harp, but she also likes to arrange music from baroque, classical and impressionist composers.
Also modern music by e.g. Coldplay, Elton John, Ketie Melua, Andrea Bocelli is arranged by Regina.
She made and published harp music on Jewish melodies and Irish, Celtic and Scottisch music.

Several of her books and sheet music books are published by Cantique.
Also Psalms for harp beginners are published. Regina holds workshops on chords and playing without notes.

Regina can be asked to perform as soloist, e.g. with choir, an afternoon concert or a recital or evening concert.
She can also be asked with one of her ensembles.
Regina also plays on congresses, weddings and feasts.
She plays her golden Lyon & Healy pedal harp or her Dusty Strings Celtic harp.
She has a collection harps for rent.
